  • Specialized Field(s)
    Modern Japanese history

I have been studying the modern history of the Ise shrines for a few years. I am now interested especially in Ise’s pleasure quarters and the linkage between the modern imperial institution and Ise amulets. I am also writing a book on the modern emperor system from a ritual perspective.
