  • Current Research Themes
    My research concerns the study and digital archiving of the modern and contemporary history of Kamigata performing arts (manzai, rakugo, etc.) and Kamigata-style comedy (Soganoya-geki, Shōchiku Shinkigeki, Yoshimoto Shinkigeki). I am in charge of the digital archiving of 14,000 standard playing records of rōkyoku ballads now in the Nichibunken collection.
