  • Current Research Themes
    I study customs and human relations relating to pregnancy and childbirth, changes in medical care while engaging in fieldwork in Japan and Micronesia. I also gather materials to shed light on folk beliefs and legends of strange and mysterious matters relating to the body from the viewpoint of folklore studies and cultural anthropology.
